DOW Networks can terminate calls to anywhere in the world in a cost-effective, high quality of service manner utilizing Voice over IP technology.  DOW Networks can customize solutions based on the customer’s network configuration.

Typically, in the traditional PBX scenario, DOW Networks will program and install a gateway on the customer site.  The gateway is connected to the internet on one side and PBX on the other.  The type of gateway depends upon whether there are analog card,
E-1 card, or T-1 card interfaces in the PBX and the amount of concurrent call traffic.

On an outbound call, the voice signal is transmitted from the customer’s PBX to the gateway on the customer site.  There the call is changed from a voice signal to a data packet and sent across the internet to the DOW Networks Networks Operation Center gateways.  There the gateways change the data packet back into a voice signal and push the call over the PSTN to its destination.  .

DOW Networks can also provide full PBX functionality such as Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), Interactive Voice Response (IVR), call queuing and scripting and a host of other features (see enhanced communications ).  DOW Networks can also provide customers with inbound toll-free services.

DOW Networks goes to great lengths to provide Quality of Service including emergency backup generators, backup network sites and redundant PSTN carriers and ISPs.  Our network engineers proactively monitor the network to make sure call traffic is flowing smoothly and we provide 24 X 7 technical support.
